Building fire in Burscough

At 09:08 on 19 March 2026, three fire engines from Ormskirk and Leyland responded to a building fire on Red Cat Lane, Burscough. The fire involved one paper baler inside a commercial building, extinguished by firefighters using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and three thermal imaging cameras. Small hand tools and an on-site forklift truck were also used on scene to assist. Crews were in attendance for seven hours.
