At 07:44 on Monday 13th July 2026, two fire engines from Chorley and Bamber Bridge attended a building fire on The Heys, Coppull. Crews used two breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. One casualty was handed into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Crews remained in attendance for approximately two hours.
