Chemical leak in Clayton-le-Moors
At 16:37 hours on 1st June 2026, two fire engines from Hyndburn, a command unit from Blackburn, a hazardous material unit from Burnley and a drone attended an incident at Petre Road, Clayton-le-Moors. The incident involved a chemical leak. Firefighters used chemical protection suits and two breathing apparatus. Crews remained at the scene for approximately six hours.
