At 02:35, six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service attended a commercial building fire on Darwen Street, Blackburn. The building involved is a two-storey commercial property, approximately 10 metres by 10 metres, with fire affecting the first floor and roof space.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to tackle the fire. The incident is ongoing and crews remain in attendance.
Road closures are in place on Mill Lane, St Peter’s Street, and Darwen Street at Dandy Walk, and are expected to remain in place into the morning.
