Commercial building fire in Blackburn

At 18:53 on 7 August 2026, four fire engines from Hyndburn, Blackburn and Darwen attended a commercial building fire on Whalley Range, Blackburn. Fire crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one gas monitor and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and manage the incident. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately 40 minutes.
