Commercial building fire in Blackpool

At 06:55 on the 31st March 2026 six fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended a commercial building fire on Lytham Road, Blackpool. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

If you can see or smell smoke, please keep your windows and doors closed.

There are road closures in place so we ask the public to plan their journeys accordingly and avoid the area, thank you.

Crews remain in attendance.

Update at 09:00: The incident has reduced three fire engines and an aerial ladder platform, crews remain in attendance monitoring and extinguishing hotspots.

Update at 11:00: Crews remain in attendance monitoring any remaining hotspots. All roads which were affected are now open and a fire investigation is underway. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
