At 13:49 on 4 June 2025, six fire engines from Nelson, Burnley, Great Harwood, Hyndburn, Blackburn, and the aerial ladder platform from Preston attended an incident at Farrington Road, Burnley. The fire involved a commercial building, and firefighters used one hose reel, one jet, four breathing apparatus, ventilation units, two triple extension ladders, lighting, thermal imaging camera and a gas monitor at the incident and were in attendance for three hours and twenty minutes.
