At 15:45 on April 3rd, 2026, three fire engines from Preston and Blackburn fire stations responded to a commercial building fire on Longsight Road, Clayton-le-Dale. Firefighters used a hose reel, a triple extension ladder, and cutting tools to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for 45 minutes.
