At 10:53am on the 10th September 2026, three fire engines from Preston and Penwortham attended a commercial building fire on Market Street, Preston. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel, one ventilation fan and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish a fire. Crews were on scene for approximately one hour and 20 minutes.
