At 01:23 on 9 September 2025, fifteen fire engines from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident on Bacup Road, Todmorden. The fire involved a commercial building. There is a significant smoke plume so please keep windows and doors closed. A road closure is in place on Bacup Road, please find alternative routes. Crews remain in attendance.
