At 16:18 hours on 4th March 2026, three fire engines from Burnley and Rawtenstall attended a commercial building fire on Burnley Road, Dunnockshaw. The fire involved a large quantity of waste at the rear of the premises. Crew used one hose reel jet and one hose reel to bring the incident under control and were at the scene for one hour.
