At 09:53 on 3rd August 2026, three fire engines from Blackburn, Darwen and Hyndburn attended a fire at a commercial property on Shorrock Lane, Blackburn. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, a positive pressure ventilation fan, a dry powder extinguisher, chimney rods and a gas monitor to extinguish the fire. Crews remained in attendance for five hours.
