At 13:18 hours on 17th December 2025, two fire engines from Burnley and one from Nelson attended a fire in the basement of a commercial premise on Elm Street in Burnley. Six firefighters in breathing apparatus used three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately three hours.
