At 19:59 on 20 September 2026, three fire engines from Burnley and Nelson, and an aerial ladder platform vehicle from Hyndburn, attended a fire involving the third floor of a commercial building on St James's Street, Burnley. Firefighters extinguished the fire using one jet, two hose reels, one 13.5-metre ladder and the aerial ladder platform vehicle. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and five minutes.
