Derelict building fire in Blackburn

At 16:42 hours on 18th March 2025, two fire engines from Blackburn Station attended a derelict building fire on Cartmel Road, Blackburn. The building was a single-storey structure measuring approximately thirty metres by thirty metres. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one hose reel jet, and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire. The fire service remained at the scene for one hour.
