At 19:58 on the 1st May, three fire engines from Bamber Bridge and Penwortham attended a fire on Wigan Road, Clayton-le-Woods. The fire involved a derelict farm building consisting of two floors. Crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for one hour.
