At 18:10 hours on 28th March 2026, four fire engines from Hornby, Silverdale, Preesall and Preston attended a derelict building fire on Fenton Street in Lancaster. Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a positive pressure ventilation fan. No casualties were reported and crews were in attendance for two hours and twenty minutes.
