At 17:16 on May 14th 2025, three fire engines from Skelmersdale and Wigan (from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service) attended a derelict building fire on Hants Lane in Ormskirk. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Crews remained at the scene for two hours and ten minutes.
