At 15:40 on Tuesday, 31st March 2026, three fire engines from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended a derelict building fire on Stone Bridge Lane, Oswaldtwistle. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet, lighting equipment, a thermal imaging camera, and one ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews were on scene for approximately one hour.
