At 18:09 on the 1st April 2026 , three fire engines from Preston and Penwortham, along with one aerial ladder platform from Blackpool, attended an derelict building fire on Friargate in Preston. Firefighters used one hose reel jet, one triple extension ladder, and one thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.
