Derelict commercial building fire in Preston

At 12:08, four fire engines, an aerial ladder platform and supporting officers attended a fire at a derelict commercial property on Ormskirk Road, Preston. Firefighters used breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one main jet, a triple extension ladder and an aerial ladder platform to tackle a fire involving the first floor and roof space of a three-storey building measuring approximately 30 metres by 30 metres.

Firefighters are carrying out searches of the property and remain on scene extinguishing hotspots. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
