At 20:42 on 5 August 2025, fire engines from Preston, Penwortham, and Bamber Bridge attended a fire within a derelict property on East Cliff in Preston. One hose reel was used to extinguish a small fire within the property, and crews were in attendance for approximately ninety minutes
