At 19:18 on 26th August 2026, three fire engines from Bacup and Rawtenstall responded to reports of a building fire on Plantation Street, Stacksteads, Bacup. The fire involved the fireplace inside a domestic semi-detached property and was extinguished by firefighters using one hose reel jet. Fire crews remained in attendance for approximately forty-five minutes.
