At 08:47 on Thursday, 22nd January 2026, three fire engines from Chorley and Leyland, along with the aerial ladder platform from Preston, attended a domestic building fire at Alder Grove, Coppull. Crews wore breathing apparatus and used hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for five hours.
