At 18:50 on Sunday 1st March, three fire engines from Preston and Bamber Bridge fire stations attended a fire involving a domestic property on Bannister Hall Drive, Higher Walton. On scene, fire crews utilised two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire. One casualty received trauma care from fire service personnel after suffering from smoke inhalation. Crews were detained for approximately two hours.
