At 14:44 hours on Sunday 11th January 2026, two fire engines from Burnley and Nelson, as well as the aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn, attended a domestic building fire on Swaine Street, Nelson. Crews used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one thermal imaging camera. Crews were engaged for approximately two hours and forty-five minutes.
