At 08:03 on 24th October 2025, two fire engines from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended an incident on Brook Street, Rishton. The incident involved a fire in a dishwasher at a domestic property, which was out on arrival. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check for fire spread. Crews were in attendance for just under one hour.
