Domestic building fire in Skelmersdale

At 13:18 on April 19th, 2025, one fire engine from Skelmersdale and one fire engine from Wigan (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service) responded to a domestic building fire on Brierfield in Digmoor, Skelmersdale. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet, a gas monitor, and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Additionally, one dog was rescued from the property by fire service personnel. Crews remained at the scene for one hour and forty-five minutes.
