At 22:11 on 27th March 2026, three fire engines from Morecambe and Lancaster attended an incident on Kingsway, Heysham. The fire involved a first floor bedroom of a domestic property. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately three hours and thirty minutes.
