At 08:35 on the 9th September 2026, two fire engines from Rawtenstall and Darwen attended a domestic property fire on Beech Grove, Accrington. Crews wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel and one ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Firefighters also rescued several animals from the property. Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.
