At 23:32 hours on Saturday 13th September 2025, two appliances from Bacup and Rawtenstall attended an incident on Newchurch Road, Stacksteads, Bacup. The fire involved a domestic terrace property which was well alight on arrival. Firefighters wore four breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for approximately two hours and twenty minutes.
