At 23:54 on 6th January 2026, fire engines from Bamber Bridge, Chorley, and Penwortham, along with the aerial ladder platform from Preston, attended an incident on Greenwood, Bamber Bridge. The fire involved a domestic property. Firefighters used two hose reel jets, one 45 millimetre jet, and six breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
