Domestic property fire in Blackburn

At 18:54 on 7th February 2026, four fire engines from Blackburn, Hyndburn and Darwen responded to a persons reported fire on Oakenhurst Street, Blackburn. The fire involved a chip pan inside a domestic property. The fire was extinguished by firefighters using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit. Fire crews were on scene for forty minutes
