At 10:09 on 6 October 2024, two fire engines from Burnley and Nelson attended a domestic property on fire on Reed Street in Burnley. The fire involved the kitchen on the ground floor of a mid-terraced property. Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish. A gas monitor and a positive pressure ventilation fan were also used on scene and crews were in attendance for two hours and thirty minutes.
