At 3:01am on 31 October 2026, two fire engines from Clitheroe attended a domestic property fire on Lowergate, Clitheroe. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel and a gas monitor to extinguish the fire. One casualty suffered the effects of smoke inhalation and was assessed by North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters remained in attendance for approximately one hour and 30 minutes.
