At 06:46 on 28 May 2026, three fire engines from Fleetwood, Blackpool, and an aerial ladder platform from Blackpool attended an incident on Heathfield Road, Fleetwood. The fire involved a domestic property, in which the chimney stack had been struck by lightning, causing an electrical fault. Firefighters isolated the electrics and used a ventilation unit to clear the smoke. Crews are using a thermal imaging camera to monitor the temperature. We were in attendance for approximately three hours and fifteen minutes.
