At 12:10 on 25 April 2026, three fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe and Hornby attended a fire in the lounge of a domestic property on Westbourne Road, Lancaster. Firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel, four breathing apparatus, one thermal imaging camera and one gas monitor. Crews were in attendance for approximately five hours.
