At 18:45 on Saturday 22nd August 2026, four fire engines from Hyndburn, Blackburn, Burnley and Nelson attended an incident on Summer Street, Nelson. The fire service used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Crews were detained for four hours and thirty minutes.
