Domestic property fire in Oswaldtwistle

At 07:51 hours on 7th May 2026, three fire engines from Hyndburn and Blackburn and an aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn were called to a building fire on Highfield Close, Oswaldtwistle.

On arrival, fire service personnel dealt with a fire involving a caravan and a domestic property. Six breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera were used.

One casualty suffering from smoke inhalation was given first aid by fire service personnel and received a precautionary check by the ambulance service.

The fire service remained in attendance for approximately four hours and ten minutes.
