On November 30, 2024, at 04:40 hours, two fire engines from Penwortham and Preston attended an incident on Birkdale Drive, Preston. The fire involved a domestic property. Firefighters used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus, and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews remained at the scene for thirty-five minutes.
