At 05:01 on 23rd April, two fire engines from Preston attended a fire on Avenham Road, Preston, involving a first floor flat which was heavily smoke logged on arrival. Fire crews used two breathing apparatus, one dry powder extinguisher and one positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
