At 05:21 hours on June 4th, 2024, two fire engines from Preston attended a fire in a garage attached to a three-storey property. Fire crews used one hose reel, four sets of breathing apparatus, and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. The crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
