At 17:06 on the 25th October 2025, Three fire engines from Rawtenstall, Bacup and Ramsbottom attended a building fire on Bacup Road, Rawtenstall. This was a fire involving the fridge in the kitchen of a domestic property, Fire crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel and cleared smoke using a ventilation unit. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately fifty minutes.
