On 21st March 2026 at 03:26 hours, three fire engines from Rawtenstall, Haslingden and Ramsbottom attended an incident on Shoemaker Gardens, Rawtenstall. Crews extinguished a fire involving a first-floor bedroom using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus. Two casualties were attended to by Northwest Ambulance Service. Fire crews were in attendance around three hours.
