At 09:59 10 August 2025, two fire engines from Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall attended an incident on Pleasant Street, Haslingden, Rossendale. The fire involved an electric blanket on the couch of a first floor flat, domestic property. Two casualties suffered smoke inhalation, and one was treated by a fire service trauma technician. Crews were in attendance for one hour and thirteen minutes.
