Domestic property fire in Skelmersdale

At 23:42 on 8th February 2026, two fire engines from Skelmersdale and the aerial ladder platform with supporting fire engine from Preston responded to a building fire on Beechtrees, Skelmersdale. The fire involved a mid-terraced property where the roof was well alight on arrival. The fire was extinguished by firefighters using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation. Scene lighting and a nine metre ladder were also used. Fire crews were on scene for over three hours
