We have reduced the number of fire engines at the scene to two and an aerial ladder platform. Firefighters are extinguishing the remaining pockets of fire in the building. Crews are working with Preston City Council to ensure the scene's safety, and road closures are likely to remain in place until this evening at the earliest.

There are currently seven fire engines in attendance, including crews from Blackburn.
At 08:19 on 3rd March, five fire engines from Preston, Fulwood, Penwortham, and Bamber Bridge attended a domestic property fire on New Hall Lane, Preston.
Crews remain on the scene.
