Embankment rescue in Accrington

At 00:24 hours on 27th September 2025, four fire engines and an aerial ladder platform from Preston, Chorley, Rawtenstall and Haslingden rescued a casualty from down an embankment, off Laund Grove, Accrington using a stretcher and rope rescue equipment. The casualty was treated on the scene by ambulance paramedics. Fire crews were in attendance for approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
