Explosion in Preston
At 22:20, fire engines from Preston, Bamber Bridge, and Fulwood, along with the Urban Search and Rescue Team attended an explosion on Gillett Street, Preston. Firefighters monitored the situation and worked with Cadent Gas to make the scene safe. One casualty was conveyed to hospital by North West Ambulance Service and firefighters were in attendance for several hours. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
