Fire in the open in Blackburn
On 19th March 2025 at 15:06 hours, two fire engines from Blackburn and Great Harwood, along with the Wildfire Burns Team from Bacup, attended an incident on Bank Hey Lane South, Blackburn. The fire involved a large area of grassland measuring approximately forty metres by forty metres. Firefighters used one hose reel and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The fire service remained at the scene for one hour and ten minutes.
